Mydosone Eye Oint is formulated to treat bacterial infections and inflammation of the eye. It treats ocular infections and allergic disorders involving cornea or conjunctiva. The eye ointment contains two active ingredients including sulphacetamide and prednisolone, which work together to fight bacteria. Sulphametacide is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria while prednisolone is a steroid that helps to reduce, swelling, redness, discomfort and inflammation of the eye. The eye ointment is applied to the affected area several times a day. The ointment should be used as prescribed by the doctor or health professional.
